Hancocks Bog Bridge Work (2013)

Photo: The muddy stretch between North and South Hancock peaks. This quagmire of mud grew wider and deeper over the years, making it difficult to stay in the trail corridor without soaking one's feet or losing a boot. Thanks to the donations made by members of the AMC Four Thousand Footer Club, sturdy bog bridges now provide a stable and dry footbed for hikers. See below.
