2020 Annual Meeting and Awards Night

Each year members new and old gather with friends and family to celebrate their hiking accomplishments and peak-seeking memories at the AMC Four Thousand Footer Club Annual Meeting, a.k.a. Awards Night and Dinner.  Come join us in 2020.

The annual meeting is open to all award recipients, past and present, as well as family, friends, and all other interested parties. To cover the cost of the auditorium, there is a $2 per person entrance fee collected at the door. An optional dinner is available for an additional charge ($12 for adults, $6 for children under 13), and requires advanced registration. Click here for a Dinner Reservation Form

If you are coming to Awards Night to receive a certificate, don’t forget to SEND in YOUR PICTURES for the Four Thousand Footer SLIDESHOW!  Send up to six (6) digital photographs of your hiking journey for inclusion in the slideshow.  Send as jpeg file format, in HIGH Resolution.  DEADLINE to submit photographs is April 4, 2020. We will do everything we can to get in pictures that come in later than that, but we cannot make any promises.

Send to pictures@amc4000footer.org. The sooner you send in your photographs, the better your chances for getting more pictures used.  Please, no type (words) of any kind on the image itself. Thanks!

4:30 ~ 6:30 p.m.     Social hour and exhibits by trail maintenance organizations

5:15 ~ 6:15 p.m.      Pizza dinner (with salad, beverage, and cookie) - reservation required

6:15 ~ 6:30 p.m.      Outdoor presentation of canine* awards

6:30 ~ 8:30 p.m.     Awards Ceremony in the Auditorium...

                                    Special media presentation
                                    Presentation of awards

8:30 ~ 9:00 p.m      Further opportunity for socializing.

IMPORTANT--To facilitate award presentations please check in at the door if you are receiving an award, as we mark the certificate envelope of those present.  We do not announce the names of those who are not present.

*Sorry, only service dogs are allowed in the school building.  If you are staying after your dog's award please arrange for humane care of your dog while you are inside.


Directions to the Exeter High School

(NOTE: No alcoholic beverages allowed on school grounds or in the school building per the school policy.)

From points North or South:
From I-95, take Exit 2 (NH Route 101) to Exeter, leaving I-95 before the main toll booth and passing through the side toll booth.  Continue west on Route 101 for about 6 miles, then take Exit 9 (Route 27).  Turn right on Route 27, not passing over Route 101, and continue 2.3 miles.   The entrance (signed) will be on your right.

From points West:
Get on Route 101 and follow it to Exit 8 (North Rd., to Route 27).  Turn left on North Rd., passing over Route 101. In 0.4 miles, turn right on Route 27, and continue 1.3 miles.  The entrance (signed) will be on your right.
